JONATHAN HEETER

Jonathan is a fluent Mandarin speaker who lived in China for 18 years. A trained Brand Strategist and Record Label Executive with deep roots in music, Entertainment and lifestyle brands, Jonathan leverages best practices, cultural skills and a network of relationships to help clients excel in Asia. At Warner Music China, Jonathan ran International, delivering 38 certified platinum singles in China, secured numerous brand deals and partnerships for global and Chinese artists, while also building a network of owned and operated channels directly responsible for growing market share. He opened Fender's China operations, and as a senior strategist at Dentsu, advised a diverse roster of clients including Lenovo, China Unicom, Uniqlo, Nissan, Audi, Volkswagen and Cannon. As the Managing Partner of Playbook, Jonathan helped multiple global brands enter China and produced creative marketing campaigns for BYD (featuring Leonardo DiCaprio), Adidas, Fender, Tencent and Alibaba. At Black Pine, Jonathan blends his brand strategy, music marketing and artist development skill sets together, advising and managing artists and brands across Asia and North America.

Nathan leads Black Pine's artist management roster, bringing a global perspective to artist development and strategic planning, with a steadfast focus on music and authenticity. A seasoned Talent Manager, Nathan has A&R'd 21 certified records, 14 top-10 hits and overseen 15+ sold-out World Tours. His expertise extends to building impactful partnerships with brands, artists, fans and media outlets, driving exponential growth for his clients. Before founding Black Pine, Nathan was a talent manager at Activist Artists (Empire Of The Sun, Alec Benjamin, Dead & Co, The Lumineers) and at Noted Management (Morgan Page, Disco Lines, Nimino, Ship Wrek). Nathan is fluent in French and Spanish

NICHOLAS RICHARDS

Former Senior Strategist at Dentsu, Editor in Chief of the Chinese Commercial Press, MBA-holder; Nicholas oversees the operations of the local team in China, managing social media, A&R and other consistent deliverables. Nicholas is also a fluent Mandarin and French speaker.

A legendary American executive in China, Peter was a founding member of the Star TV team, In-house Counsel at IBM China, CFO at Tom Online, and is the Founder of Castle Hill. A fluent Mandarin speaker, he helps secure high-level business development opportunities and assists with legal counsel.

YANJUN WANG
HEAD OF MARKETING & SOCIAL, CHINA

A 10-year veteran of the Chinese music business, Yanjun was previously Head of Artist Marketing and Distribution at Streetvoice (the leading local distributor in China), part of the management team for numerous local artists, and has significant experience implementing marketing strategies for artists in pop, rock and hip hop. Yanjun manages a team of local talent that includes social media creators, visualizers and channel managers. Native Mandarin speaker. 

JULIEN MAYEUR
TALENT MANAGER, NORTH AMERICA

Based in Miami, Julien is a Talent Manager at Black Pine, working across the Artist roster. With a deep affinity for electronic music and a strategic mindset, Julien designs and executes comprehensive, long-term plans that drive sustained success for Artists.
